After fighting with the rain for a few days I finally got to take some pictures of Byron's cousins twins. They just turned two so they were not that into sitting still, but I was able to get some fun pictures of them exploring (we just had to remind John that he could play on the tractor when we were finished). These two are super cute and just as sweet.
Books & Bloom 2015
My husband and I moved back to Athens a few weeks ago to be closer to our families. In January when our families learned about us moving back, Byron's aunt asked me to host a table at the local library fundraiser, Books and Bloom.
I didn't spend much time prepping for my table since we were still unpacking from our move. I collected some things that we used at our wedding and bought a few new items to mix in. I wanted my table to go with the theme of the fundraiser - books & blooms. My favorite part of the table was the old books that are cut out to spell READ (you can find similar ones here). I used some colorful library cards with everyone's name stamped on them as place tags.
It was a lot of fun putting this table together. This fundraiser is a really big event in Athens with over 400 attendees. That is a lot for this small town! It was cool walking around and looking at all the decorated tables.
Favorite Things Friday ♥
Happy Friday y'all! I am jumping on the bandwagon and sharing some of my favorite things I have discovered this week. It has been a great week for us. We celebrated Byron's parents 50th anniversary on Saturday (I will share a picture of some fun cookies I made at the end). It was a great party and an occasion worthy of celebrating!
I am loving the use of fun papers to brighten up spaces (and I am a sucker for anything by Rifle Paper Co.)
This is a close up of the original cake topper from Byron's parents wedding that we used on a small cake at the party.
Decorated tea cake cookies I made for the 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
The tea cake cookies all packaged for each person to take as a favor on the way out.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
